Special Education Department

The Chico High Special Education Department serves students with a variety of special needs. Our department consists of six full time resource specialist teachers, three special day class teachers, two teachers for students with severe handicaps, one teacher for the deaf and hard of hearing.

The department also utilizes the services of instructional assistants and other para-professionals who work to support student success in both the general education program and available vocational programs. We believe in offering a continuum of services in response to student needs.
