The students and teachers at your alma mater need your help now and in the future!  The importance and value of education have never been more crucial for our youth and for the future of our country. 

While it may seem overwhelming to change the national, state or even local systems of education, you can positively influence one school , one teacher, or one student at a place that matters to all of us... Chico High School (CHS)!

In 2003, the Chico High School Foundation was established for the expressed purpose of providing additional financial support for students through scholarships, departments through endowments, and  teachers through mini-grants. In the past seven years we have received thousands of dollars from alumni in support of our efforts, and, in turn, the Foundation Board has awarded thousands of dollars to students to further their education, to departments for the purchase of needed equipment, and to teachers  in support of their teaching practices.  As an example, last summer we raised over $6,000 for the Industrial Technology Department to help them purchase new state-of-the art computers for architectural design classes.

This summer we are going to recognize and celebrate all the current and past varsity head coaches of CHS at the Elk's Club on Saturday, August 21, starting at 5:30 pm. You and your spouse/significant other are cordially invited to join the “Reunion Celebration” and renew your bonds with your former coaches and fellow teammates.

We also proudly introduce you to our website: chicohigh.org. if you want to learn more about the Coaches Reunion, what we've accomplished in the seven years of our existence, and, how you can communicate with former classmates by joining our facebook page.  We would like our Foundation to serve as the official conduit to stay in touch with friends, update you on what is occurring at your ol' high school, and to support the students and teachers in a reliable and accountable way.

Our Foundation is affiliated with the North Valley Community Foundation which has 501(c) 3 status. We currently manage 28 different scholarship and endowment funds valued at approximately $270,000. Donor's monies are invested by NVCF in a 60% common stock and 40% bond portfolio. Our goal is to have, in the next ten years, one million dollars benefitting Chico High School.  Every dollar invested with NVCF is a vote of support for the students and teachers at your alma mater.
