What We've Accomplished
2006 Annual Dinner
2006 Dinner Recognition Results
The CHS Agriculture Department received $9409 due to the generosity of all the people who attended the Dinner & Recognition Cerermony in the Big Room at Sierra Nevada Brewery on September 30, 2006.
A special thank you is extended to the Bertagna families for initiating a new $5000 endowment in their family name. This new scholarship for an FFA student will serve as a legacy for Ben and his outstanding family members. Another $4409 was raised during the silent and live auctions which will help Ag students receive additional scholarship monies and increase the support for the FFA judging teams. We thank all the individuals who supported the event.
2006 Mini-Grant Allocations
Funding New Projects
In May 2005, the CHSF Board allocated $5000 in interest money gains from the Centennial Endowment Fund to fund specific projects proposed by CHS teachers. Overall, the Board received requests totaling $28,694.
Projects funded included a lap top computer and LCD projector for the foreign language department, a custom freshman calendar and homework book to ease the transition to high school, sponsorship of a series of monthly after school “book talks” in the library, new cabinets for the computer manufacturing lab, and a beautification project, including the construction of benches in the quad area on campus. This spring the Board will again initiate the mini-grant program for CHS teachers.
